Rapidly Manufactured Robot Challenge

As part of the decentral RoboCup German Open 2023, another and last competition league will be held for the first time this year, the Rapidly Manufactured Robot Challenge, or RMRC for short. Until now, participation in this league was only possible at the RoboCup World Championships. With the inclusion of the RMRC, the German Open opens up new opportunities for young scientists. RMRC teams consist of up to six students aged 14 to 19 and one or two supervisors. The competition scenarios are similar to those of the Rescue League. However, parcour elements and robots are less challenging and less expensive and easier to implement, making them particularly suitable for STEM promotion.

The RMRC competition will take place at the highly publicized Consumenta trade fair in Nuremberg from Oct. 28 to Nov. 1, 2023. Participation by international teams is expressly encouraged. In addition to the RMRC, the fair will offer hackathons on a variety of technical topics.
